We have built this page at the request of a number of users of our other popular tool, “Meta Tag Generator.
This project began as something fun… an experiment with PHP and JavaScript to make a useful tool for myself as I develop a lot of websites. What started out as a very simple generator became more and more complicated until I was spending way too much time on it, and finally had to stop and publish what was created – that is the site you see now.
This will generate full document heads for all HTML and XHTML document types, and they will fully validate with the W3C… if you find any errors, please contact us – but our testing has thus far yielded positive results. As we are constantly improving or tweaking this site, it is possible that a bug may pop up, so please be patient and kindly let us know!
For future developments, we will add multi-language capabilities… currently, if you enter foreign characters that are non-ASCII you will get unexpected results. For now, you may simply edit them manually in the text area after generation, then copy the code to your clipboard.
